Throughout the fall, we've been showcasing influential UC Berkeley scientists, researchers and policy-advocates at the forefront of confronting climate change and its extreme impacts. On October 8, we were delighted to welcome evolutionary biologist and Berkeley professor Erica Bree Rosenblum who spoke about finding hope (!) for biodiversity conservation in an era of rapid global change. Her presentation was nothing short of transformative. While the facts on the ground (and in the air and water) are sobering, she focused on transforming human action from flight or fight to caring and honoring as a means of repair. A stunning and inspiring talk.
