What happens now?

Please join us on Friday, Nov. 8, at 10:30 AM for a wide-ranging OLLI @Berkeley Town Hall — "Post-Election Wrap-Up" — featuring guest speakers:

  • Adam Hochschild, author, journalist and historian whose works include King Leopold's Ghost and To End All Wars: A Story of Loyalty and Rebellion, 1914–1918
  • Arlie Hochschild, Berkeley professor emeritus of sociology, and author of best-sellers including Strangers in Their Own Land and Stolen Pride: Loss, Shame, and the Rise of the Right
  • Bill Sokol is a Bay Area labor and employment lawyer, a lecturer at SF State University, a gubernatorial appointee to the CalSavers Retirement Investment Board, and was a talk show host on Pacifica Radio for 25 years. 
  • Michael Baker is a retired surgeon who served in the military and retired as a rear admiral. Baker has visited Kyiv multiple times recently to teach Advanced Trauma Life Support to Ukrainian physicians. 
  • Sandra Bass, Senior Associate Dean and Executive Director of Berkeley's Public Service Center, brings together students, faculty, and communities to harness their collective wisdom in support of social justice, civic engagement, and transformative social change.

Berkeley professor Darren Zook will facilitate.

The Town Hall will be held on Zoom as well as recorded. The video will be shared with registrants as soon as it's captioned — typically within a week.
