Book Talk: The Scandal of Cal with Tony Platt
Members are invited to join Tony Platt for a lively in-person discussion about his latest book The Scandal of Cal: Land Grabs, White Supremacy, and Miseducation at UC Berkeley. His focus will be on what Cal’s physical environment –– buildings, memorials, plaques and architecture – tells us about the university’s history and self-identity.
Upon registering, members will receive Tony's "Dis-Orientation Tour" guide for those who might want to (re)visit campus or research some of the places online ahead of the conversation on Friday, Oct. 20, 10-11:30 AM, at OLLI HQ (1995 University Ave., Suite 365, Berkeley.)
