We live in a moment of extreme contention and discord when it comes to certain aspects of our identity, with discussions over things such as systemic racism or preferred pronouns or transgender participation in sports breaking down quickly into bitter, accusatory rancor. This intergenerational dialogue held online between OLLI members and Cal undergrads — facilitated by Berkeley professor Darren Zook — is intended to find a path forward in a way that is engaging, innovative, transformative, and empowering.
