Global Hotspots: The Latest Edition

The world unfortunately shows no signs of settling down anytime soon, so it is time once again to take a closer look at the areas of the world that are doing the most to unsettle our sense of stability. In this three week course we will look at three different countries/ conflicts: (1) Syria, (2) Israel/Gaza, and(3) the Korean Peninsula (South and North Korea). We will examine not only the root causes of conflict, but also the prospects and possibilities for peace in the near and distant future.
