Populism: A Global Tour
Populism is very much back in the news again, whether it is the election of populist leaders such as Javier Milei (Argentina) or Geert Wilders (Netherlands) or the looming showdown in the United States for the 2024 elections. But what exactly is populism? And why are many people so concerned about its rise in global politics? This course will offer an understanding of different types of populism around the world, exploring not only who the populists are but also who the voters are who vote for them.
