Writer/filmmaker Julie Winokur and photojournalist Ed Kashi look at post-1965 immigration as the driving force behind America's changing identity, centering Newark, NJ, a minority-majority city, as a beacon for the rest of the country. Their hyper-local documentary approach reveals truths of global significance about pluralism and cultural intersections.

Julie Winokur, Founding Director of Talking Eyes Media, has been a filmmaker and writer for over three decades.
